Connor Storrie—more specifically, Connor Storrie’s backside—has an affinity for breaking the internet. Since his breakout role alongside Hudson Williams on Heated Rivalry landed him at the Golden Globes, Saturday Night Live, and the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, Connor and his assets have landed a starring role in Verizon’s latest campaign, “Look Behind You.” And, now, we have never-before-seen pics of Connor from the set. Spoiler alert: He looks scary good.
The short film, which is directed by filmmaker Nia DaCosta—and seemingly inspired by horror flicks like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer—also includes a nod to Heated Rivalry, as the actor is seen chilling in a cottage.
In the spot, he’s met with several jump scares in the form of mysterious phone calls, flickering lights, and unlocking doors, which were all prompted by Connor’s butt-dialing different apps on his smartphone.
ICYMI, he and Nia had everyone curious when they were spotted together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, where Nia accidentally stepped on Hudson Williams’ shirt train, resulting in this very funny viral moment. In retrospect, fans now realize that Connor and Nia were in the midst of cooking up their first major brand project together.
“From the concept to execution, this was an incredibly collaborative and creatively fulfilling experience,” Connor said in a statement for Cosmopolitan. “Verizon is a brand that really understands storytelling and culture, so they fully leaned into the idea. And working with visionary director Nia DaCosta took everything to another level.”
Nia added, “I had such a great time working with Connor and making this spot for Verizon! The team was amazing, and we had so much fun bringing this to life.”
Looks like Connor has a bright future behind—we mean, ahead of—him.
Also…now seems like a great time to re-watch “Look Behind You.” Just ’cause we can.
